Everything you need to keep your linen cap beautiful for years — from hand-washing and drying to sizing tips and precise strap adjustment.

Care - Linen, the right way

Wash: Hand-wash only in cold water (≤ 30°C) using a mild detergent for delicate fabrics.
No bleach or softeners: They weaken natural linen fibers.
Rinse: Gently, without wringing.
Dry: Reshape and air-dry in the shade on a flat surface or cap form. No tumble drying.
Steam/Iron: If needed, steam from the inside on low/medium heat to restore crown volume.

Keep the shape

After washing, reshape the crown; avoid hard bending of the brim.
For drying, support the inside with a soft towel or paper so the crown dries without creases.
Store on a hook/stand or in a box - do not place heavy items on top.

Leather strap & metal details

Before washing, protect the leather strap (wrap in film) to avoid soaking.
If it gets wet, blot and let it air-dry away from heat.
Care: use a neutral leather conditioner sparingly, a few times a year.
Metal parts: wipe dry after washing to prevent moisture stains.

Stains - quick responses

Oils/cosmetics: Sprinkle starch or talc for 15–30 min, then mild soap and rinse.
Red wine/juice: Blot, apply cold sparkling water, then hand-wash.
Deodorant/sweat marks: Mix water + white vinegar (1:1), apply for 10 min, rinse.
Sand/dust: Shake or vacuum (fabric brush) before washing.

Color & natural behavior

Natural linen can show minimal shrinkage (≈1-3%) with cold hand-wash. Dry away from direct sun to keep color fresh.

Sizing - find your perfect fit

How to measure

Use a soft measuring tape.
Wrap it above the eyebrows and ears, around the widest part of your head.
The tape should be snug but not tight.
Note the measurement in centimeters.

CacheMio® size chart (adjustable strap)

S: 53–56 cm
M: 57–58 cm
L: 59–61 cm

If you’re between sizes, choose the larger one and fine-tune with the strap. The adjustment gives a precise, comfortable fit.

Precise strap adjustment

Our leather strap has five holes with 8 mm spacing between them. This fine, short step is intentional - it gives our customers more precise control over fit and comfort. The total fine-tuning range is about 3.2 cm (≈ ±1.6 cm from the middle hole). For most people, the middle hole is the baseline; tighten or loosen by 1-2 positions as needed.

Fit & comfort tips

Crown depth: medium/universal; suits both round and slightly oval head shapes.
Glasses/headphones: make sure the arms don’t sit under the strap - loosen one step if needed.
Active days/windy weather: tighten the strap by 1-2 holes.
Hairstyle: for extra volume (bun, curls), one extra hole is usually enough.

Home try-on checklist

No pressure on temples or forehead after 10-15 minutes.
Brim doesn’t touch eyebrows; clear field of view.
Strap tension: secure enough that the cap doesn’t slip on a gentle head tilt.
